CCHC Donated 550 Specially Designed Wheelchairs

CCHC Donated 550 Specially Designed Wheelchairs

The magnitude 7.0 earthquake in Haiti is devastating. The damage is enormous. The corpses are piled up on the streets and the death toll has reached more than 10,000. Different governments and charity organizations have responded to their needs by sending disaster relief teams.

The relief efforts are ongoing. CCHC has donated 550 wheelchairs to Haiti. At this time, Haiti needs assistance for long term reconstruction and medical supplies. Rev. David Lee encouraged charity groups and individuals to donate medical supplies such as bandages, gauzes, antiseptics, antibiotics and pain relieve medications. For details, please contact CCHC at 626-286-8700.

Taiwan Flood Disaster Relief

Daniel Wong

Daniel Wong (Superintendent, Herald International & Disaster Relief)

Whether it is the Sichuan quake or Taiwan flood, we shed tears when we hear the story of each victim.  We serve with sympathy and compassion.  Whether we give a wheelchair or winter coat, we are filled with joy!

Chia Fen Liu (Taiwan Flood Disaster Relief Commissioner)

"Waiting" is the inner voice of the flood victims.  When can we go home?  When will we be able to rebuild our home?  What is our future?  When they wait without hope, they feel they have no alternatives. They are lost, fearful, lonely, and in pain.  However, they will regain energy and soar like an eagle if they have hope!

Taiwan Flood Disaster Relief

Herald Cares has raised US$84,279 through the New Year Headquarters and Southern California District for the Taiwan flood disaster relief.  From that, we first donated NT$1,000,000 to Taiwan.  Then, to prevent the spread of H1N1, we brought 300 ear thermometers through Pingtung Christian Hospital and helped 2 churches to purchase temporary sound systems.  For the rest of the funds, we will purchase a minivan to transport the seniors or disabled indigenous people from the most destructive remote villages to the hospital.  After discussing with the indigenous pastors and missionaries, we understand that the relief victims are in serious need of spiritual counseling.  Please pray for them

Herald Restaurant Gospel Ministries

Herald Restaurant Gospel Ministries(HRGM) encourages Christians who work in the restaurants to spread the gospel to their coworkers, and to form fellowships and Bible study groups within the restaurants themselves; developing indigenous leaders, using the restaurant network to spread the good news.

We communicate our restaurant ministry vision to all the churches, and lead & quot; restaurant ministry worship services & quot; at their meeting places. We share with them our experience, and encourage them to spread the gospel to their local restaurant communities, bringing the gospel to these restaurants as missionaries. We also encourage these churches to form restaurant fellowship groups to nurture these Christians... More information
